Caring for your Jewellery
To keep your Stel pieces as beautiful as the day they were made, we recommend a few ways to give care and attention to ensure they continue to shine.
Remove Before Activities
Before diving into daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, washing up, or even gardening, remember to take off your jewellery. Everyday activities can expose your pieces to knocks, chemicals, or dirt that may dull their sparkle or cause wear.
Cosmetics and Jewellery
Products like perfumes, creams, and hairsprays can be abrasive over time, affecting the color and shine of your jewellery. Make it a habit to apply your beauty products first, then put on your jewellery as a finishing touch.
Avoid Sunlight and Damp Storage
Jewellery is best stored in a cool, dry space, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or damp areas. Proper storage protects the metal’s finish and preserves the integrity of any stones or polished surfaces.
Gentle Cleaning Routine:
Every few months, give your pieces a gentle clean with a mild detergent and warm water. Simply dip your jewellery, brush lightly with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and pat dry with a clean cloth.
Quick Rinse if Exposed
If your jewellery comes into contact with chemicals or cleaning products, rinse it straight away to remove any residue.
Avoid Salt and Chlorine
Remove jewellery before swimming in the ocean or pool, as salt water and chlorine can deteriorate the strength of the metal over time.
Polishing for a Lasting Shine
For polished pieces, a clean microfiber cloth works wonders. Regularly buffing your jewellery will keep it looking radiant and bring out its natural shine.
